SalesPlay allows business owners to control whether users can print duplicate receipts, ensuring better oversight and reducing unnecessary printing.

Steps to Disable Duplicate Receipt Printing

  1. Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office web portal.
  2. From the main menu, select Users.
  3. Go to the Access Rights section.
  4. Click on the Cashier role or any existing user role you want to edit.
  5. Under Function Modules, locate the Prebill option.
  6. Untick (disable) the Prebill checkbox.
  7. Click Update to save the changes.

Note:

  • Once disabled, the Print Receipt option for duplicate receipts will no longer appear on the POS billing summary screen.
  • Users cannot reprint past receipts.

What Is “Other Staff” in SalesPlay POS?

In SalesPlay POS, Other Staff refers to employees who are not responsible for billing but still play an important role in daily business operations.

Examples include:

  • Waiters in a restaurant
  • Salespersons in a retail store
  • Hairdressers in a salon

Assigning Other Staff to receipts helps you:

  • Track individual staff performance
  • Calculate commissions accurately

 

 

How to Create Other Staff in SalesPlay Back Office

  • Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office.
  • From the main menu, select Users, then go to Other Staff.
  • Click Create Other Staff.
  • Enter the staff member’s name and required details.
  • Select a Staff Type from the dropdown list.
  • To add a new type, select Create New Type.
  • Click Save to complete the process.
  • The staff profile will automatically sync with the POS App.

 

How to Assign Other Staff to Receipts

In the POS App:

  1. During a sale, tap the three-dot menu on the sales screen.
  2. Select Assign Employee and choose the relevant staff member.

This ensures accurate reporting and commission tracking.

1. Enable Shift Management

Go to SalesPlay Back Office → Settings → Features.
Enable Shift Management and click Save.

Once Shift Management is enabled, a new option called Drawer Reasons will appear in the Settings section.

  • Go to Drawer Reasons
  • Click Add Drawer Reason
  • Enter the drawer reason name
  • Click Save

 

 

 

2. Open a Shift in the SalesPlay POS App

Open the SalesPlay POS App and start a new shift to continue using the POS.

3. Enter the Shift Opening Amount

Enter the opening cash amount when prompted to begin the shift.

4. Manage Drawer Transactions

Go to Main Menu → Manage Sales → Cash Management → Drawer Transactions.

5. Enter Drawer Transaction Details

Provide the following details:

  • Amount
  • Reason

You can select an existing reason or create a new one.

To create a new reason:

  • Click NEW
  • Enter the reason name
  • Click Save

Select PAY IN or PAY OUT and proceed.
Use this option if you need to add extra details about a drawer transaction.

6. Cash Drawer Summary

View a summary of all cash drawer transactions for the current shift.

7. How to End the Shift (Shift End)

Copy URL

Within the POS App:

  • Open the POS App main menu
  • Select Manage Sale
  • Click Cash Management
  • Select Shift End
  • Enter the actual cash amount
  • Click Run Shift End

(Optional: Enable Print Report if you need a printed copy.)

8. How to Check Shift Reports

Copy URL

Within the Back Office:

  1. Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office Web Portal
  2. Select Reports from the main menu
  3. Go to Shifts
  4. Click View to see shift details

What is the Time Clock Feature in SalesPlay?

The Time Clock feature in SalesPlay helps you track employee attendance and working hours. It allows staff to Clock In at the start of their shift and Clock Out when their shift ends, making it easy to monitor work hours and manage attendance accurately.

How to Enable the Time Clock Feature in SalesPlay

To start tracking employee attendance using the Time Clock feature, follow these steps in the Back Office:

  1. Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office web portal.
  2. From the main menu, select Settings.
  3. Navigate to the Features section.
  4. Turn on the Time Clock option by checking the box.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

Once enabled, employees will be able to Clock In and Clock Out directly from the POS App.

How to Use the Time Clock in the SalesPlay POS App

Employees can easily clock in and out using the Time Clock feature in the POS App. Here’s how:

  1. From the POS App main menu, tap the Padlock icon.
  2. Select the Time Clock icon.
  3. Enter the employee’s PIN.
  4. Tap Clock In to start the shift.
  5. If the time displayed is correct, tap Go to POS to continue.

Note: At the end of the shift, follow the same steps and tap Clock Out instead.

How to View the Timecard Report in SalesPlay

The Timecards Report provides a detailed log of each employee’s Clock In and Clock Out times. This helps managers track attendance, monitor punctuality, and ensure staff follow scheduled work hours.

To access the Timecard Report:

  1. Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office web portal.
  2. From the main menu, go to the Users section.
  3. Click Timecards to view employee attendance records.

Need to make changes?
You can adjust timings or manually add new records directly from the Users > Timecards section in the Back Office.

How to View the Total Hours Worked Report in SalesPlay

The Total Hours Worked report gives you a quick summary of how many hours each employee has worked over a selected period. It is useful for evaluating productivity and managing payroll.

To access the report:

  1. Log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office web portal.
  2. From the main menu, select Users.
  3. Click Total Hours Worked to view the summarized data for each employee.

You can create different employees or users in SalesPlay Back Office, each with custom roles and permissions. This ensures that employees only have access to the functions they need.

Special Note

When you set a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for yourself (Admin) or for employees using the Back Office, you will see a padlock or PIN icon in the POS app. Employees will use this PIN to log in to the POS.

Step 1: Access Employees Section

  1. Log in to SalesPlay Back Office
  2. Go to Users > Employees > Create Employee

Step 2: Set Your Admin PIN

Before creating your first employee, set your own Admin PIN.
Once set, you can assign PINs for your employees when you create them. Employees will use their PINs to log in to the POS app.

Step 3: Enter Employee Details

Enter the employee’s information:

  • Full Name
  • User Role (e.g., Cashier, Supervisor, Manager)
  • POS Login PIN

Example User Roles:

  • Cashier: Can only do billing
  • Supervisor: Can check selected reports
  • Manager: Can delete receipts

 

Step 4: Set POS Username

  • Enter the employee’s POS username
  • This username will appear on the main menu of the POS app during their shift

Step 5: Assign Shops

  • Scroll down to assign the employee to one or more shops
  • This ensures the employee has access only to the shops they are assigned

After completing these steps, your employee is ready to log in and start using the POS app according to their assigned role and permissions.

Setting Up the Printer in POS App

  1. Open the POS App.
  2. Go to the Main Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap Printers.
  5. Click the Add (+) button to add a new printer.
  6. Enter a printer name.
  7. Choose the printer model from the list (If your brand is not listed, select Other Model).
  8. Select the connection mode (USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Network).
  9. Choose the paper size.
  10. Enter the printer IP address (for Wi-Fi and Network connections) or select the USB path.
  11. Tick the option to print receipts and bills.
  12. Click Save.

Connect printer to the USB Cable

Go to SalesPlay POS app > Settings > Printers and click ‘plus button

Select a ‘Printer model‘ and select ‘USB’ as ‘Connection mode

Select ‘Paper size‘ and click ‘Search

Printer connected successfully

Click ‘Bluetooth

Click on Bluetooth printer.

Add Pin number

Printer paired successfully

Go to POS App and click ‘Settings

Select ‘Printers‘ and click ‘Plus button

Select a ‘Printer model‘ and select ‘Bluetooth‘ as ‘Connection mode

Select ‘Paper size‘ and click ‘Search

Printer connected successfully

Click ‘New Sale‘ , select products and click ‘CHARGE

Receipt printed successfully
