SalesPlay POS APP > Settings > Products

1. Go to POS app main menu and select products

2. Select ‘Products’ and click the plus button to create a product.

3. First enter the name of the product

4. Enter the ‘Selling price’

5. Upload an image

• You can add an image of the product which helps the cashier to identify the product quickly during checkout. 
• SalesPlay offers you three options when adding the product image
  • Take a photo : You can use the device camera and quickly take and upload the product image.
  • Choose a photo : You can simply upload an image from your device gallery. 
  • Remove photo: If you want to remove a previously  added image you can use this opton to remove the image. Then you can use one of the above two optons to add a new image.

6. Save the details.

• Once you include all the details of the product click ‘SAVE’ and you will see the product in your product list.  

7. Add Category

• Now select ‘Product categories’ and click the plus button to add categories.

8. Enter the category name and enable ‘Subcategory’

9. Select / create subcategory

• Under Subcategory you can either select an existing subcategory that you have previously created or create a new subcategory.

10. Save the changes

• Select ‘Create subcategory’ and enter the subcategory name.
• Do remember to click the plus button to save the details.

11. Assign products

• Now you can assign products to the subcategory under the main category, you just created.
• Simply click ‘Assign products’ and you will see the product list appear on the screen.

12. Select the relevant product or use the search option

• You can select the relevant product or you can easily use the search option if you have a massive list of products. 

13. Now the product has been successfully assigned to the category

14. View products in the categories

• Go back to main menu , select ‘New sale’ , click on the main category and then you will be able to select the subcategory where you can see and select the relevant product.

Add Visual Appeal to Categories with Color or Image Options

Users can now enhance the appearance of their categories by adding a color or uploading an image—but this option is only available when creating categories through the Backoffice web portal.

How to use the feature:

1. Go to Backoffice Web Portal
2. Navigate to Products > Categories
3. Click “Add Category”
4. Enter a Category Name
5. Choose a Color or Upload an Image
6. Click Add to save

The selected color or image will be displayed on the main interface of the QR Ordering System, Web Store, or Digital Menu, making the layout more visually attractive and user-friendly.

We highly recommend using the Android version of the SalesPlay POS app for the best and most up-to-date experience. The Android version is actively supported and receives regular updates with new features and improvements.

How to Create and Complete a Sale in SalesPlay POS

Follow these steps to create and complete a sale in the SalesPlay POS app.

1. Open the Sales Screen

Launch the SalesPlay POS app and tap New Sale from the main menu.

You will now see the sales interface, which includes:

1. Search Bar – Search for products by name or product ID.
2. Category Filter – View main categories and subcategories you have created.
3. Navigation Tabs – Use the page tabs at the bottom to browse products.
4. Product List – Displays available products.
5. Cart Area – Shows products added to the current sale.

2. Add Products to the Cart

• Tap the product image to add it to the current ticket.

Note: If the product includes variants or modifiers, you will be redirected to select the required options before adding it to the cart.

3. Adjust Products in the Cart

Change Quantity

Tap the product in the cart, then adjust the quantity using the + or – buttons.

Remove a Product

Swipe left on the product and tap the Delete icon.

4. Clear the Ticket

If you need to void the entire sale, tap the ⋮ menu in the ticket header and select Clear Items.

5. Process Payment

• Tap CHARGE (bottom right).

In the payment dialog, choose a payment method:

Cash

• Tap one of the suggested cash amounts, or
• Enter a custom amount under Cash Received, then tap CASH.

Card or Other Payment Methods

Select the appropriate option and follow the on-screen instructions.

After processing, a summary will display the Total and Change Due.

6. Complete the Sale

• Email Receipt: Tap the email field and enter the customer’s email address.
• Start New Sale: Tap START NEW SALE to finalize the transaction and begin a new one.

With these steps, you can quickly add products, adjust quantities, process payments, and send receipts — all from your mobile device.

How to Create and Manage Products & Categories in SalesPlay POS

You can organize your inventory in SalesPlay POS by adding items and grouping them into categories directly from your smartphone or tablet. Follow the steps below to get started.

Create or Manage Products

1. Open the Products Menu

• Log in to the SalesPlay POS app.
• Tap the ☰ Menu icon in the top-left corner.
• Select Products.

2. Add a New Product

On the Products screen, tap the Add (+) button in the bottom-right corner.

On the Add Product page, enter the following details:

• Product Name
• Price
• Category (select an existing category, create a new one, or leave blank to assign later)
• SKU and Barcode

Customize the Product Image

You can personalize the product by managing its image:

• Take a Photo – Capture a new photo using your device camera.
• Choose a Photo – Select an image from your gallery.
• Remove Photo – Delete the current image.

Tap Save to add the product to your inventory.

Create or Manage Categories

There are two ways to create product categories.

Method 1: While Adding a Product

On the Add Product page:

• Tap Category → Create Category.
• Enter the category name.
• Tap Save.

Method 2: From the Categories Screen

• Go to Products.
• Select Product Categories.
• Tap the Add (+) button in the bottom-right corner.

Note: Any categories you have already created will be displayed here.

Enter the Following:

• Category Name

Optional Actions:

1. Assign existing products to the category.
2. Create new products under this category.

Note: These steps are optional. You can update categories anytime.

Tap Save to finish.

Sync & Verify

SalesPlay POS syncs in real time. Newly created products and categories will immediately appear on all connected devices and in the Back Office.

To edit or delete products or categories:

• Tap the product or category name from the list.
• Select Edit or use the Delete button at the bottom of the page.

Advanced Item Settings

For advanced options such as product variants or composite items, log in to the SalesPlay POS Back Office via the web. Any changes made there will automatically sync with your POS app.

Getting Started with SalesPlay Back Office

The SalesPlay Back Office is your web-based control center where you manage stores, POS devices, features, and settings. It syncs in real time with the SalesPlay POS App on mobile and tablet devices.

Follow the steps below to set up your shop and start selling quickly.

1. Log In to SalesPlay Back Office

1. Visit the SalesPlay website.
2. Click Sign In in the top-right corner.

Enter the email and password you registered with.

2. Access System Settings

1. From the left-hand navigation menu, click the Settings icon.
2. Under System Settings, select Features.

This section allows you to control which tools are active in your POS system.

3. Enable Key Features

In the Features section, toggle on the options you need for your business.

4. Set Up Your Shop Information

1. Go to Settings → Shop.
2. Click Add Shop (or select an existing shop to edit).
3. Enter the following details:

• Store Name
• Address
• Phone Number
• Store Description

Click Save.

5. Add POS Devices

Under Shop, choose POS Devices.

1. Enter the following details:

• POS Name (e.g., Main Counter, Cashier 1)
• Assign it to the correct store

Click Save.

Next Steps in the SalesPlay POS App

After completing the Back Office setup, open the SalesPlay POS App on your device to:

• Add items and categories
• Start selling to customers

Any changes made in the Back Office will instantly sync to your POS app.

To begin using SalesPlay POS, follow the steps below to download, install,

Download and Installation

You can download the SalesPlay POS app from:

System Requirements

• Android 6.0 or higher

1. Launch the App

After installation, open the SalesPlay POS app.
You will see the Welcome screen.

If you don’t have an account yet, tap REGISTRATION to create one.

2. Create an Account

Fill in the registration form with your details.
Enter a valid email address and create a secure password.
Select your business type and complete the required fields.

After submitting the form, check your email inbox.
You will receive a verification email from SalesPlay POS.

Open the email and click “Verify the Email”
to confirm your address and complete registration.

3. Sign In

Once your email is verified, return to the app and tap SIGN IN.

• Enter the email address used during registration.
• Enter your password.
• Tap SIGN IN to access your account.

4. First-Time Setup Overview

When signing in for the first time, you will see a quick overview
to help you get started with SalesPlay POS.

The system offers customizable screen layouts and orientation settings
to match your business preferences.

• Tap SAVE to continue.

You are now successfully logged into SalesPlay POS!
